「欧州におけるサイエンス・コミュニケーションの進展と課題」セミナーシリーズを開催いたします。
AIなど先端技術・新興技術の急速な進展に伴い便益のみならず社会的懸念も一方で高まっています。COVID禍などの世界的危機において明らかになったように、科学の本質や社会への幅広い影響の可能性について伝えるサイエンス・コミュニケーションの重要性はますます高まっています。
今回のセミナーシリーズでは、第1回目に欧州のサイエンス・コミュニケーション研究の第一人者であるMassimiano Bucchi氏（トレント大学）より、’Visible Scientists’や科学への信頼性について触れて頂きながら、欧州における現状と課題を講演頂きます。
第2回目は、イタリアObserva Science in Society（※）代表のGiuseppe Pellegrini 氏より、Observa Science in Societyの活動やサイエンス・コミュニケーション活動をどう評価すべきかについて講演をいただきます。
欧州の経験から日本は何が学べるのか、議論を行いますので、是非奮ってご参加ください。（事前登録が必要になります。）
※Observa Science in Societyは、過去20年間にわたり、市民の科学への信頼に関する世論調査や、科学者のコミュニケーション活動の調査などを行い、科学、技術、社会の相互作用に関する研究と議論の促進や、研究者、政策立案者、市民の間の対話を活性化してきました。

講師 Massimiano Bucchi氏（イタリア トレント大学） ⇐終了
Massimiano Bucchi (Ph.D. Social and Political Science, European University Institute, 1997) is Full Professor of Science and Technology and Society and Communication, Science and Technology at the University of Trento and Director of the International Master programme SCICOMM. He has been visiting professor in Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania. Since 2018, he is director of the Master in Communication of Science and Innovation. He is the author of several books (published in more than twenty countries) and papers in journals such as Nature, Science, PLOS ONE. Among his books in English:
Science and the Media (Routledge, 1998); Science in Society (Routledge, 2004); Beyond Technocracy (Springer, 2009); Handbook of Public Communication of Science and Technology (2 eds. 2008, 2014, with B. Trench, Routledge) and the 4 vols. anthology The Public Communication of Science (Routledge, 2016).
He has been the editor of the international peer reviewed journal Public Understanding of Science (Sage, 2016-2019) and regularly contributes to newspapers and TV programmes.

Giuseppe Pellegrini (Ph.D., Sociology 2004) teaches Innovation, Technology and Society at the University of Trento. His main research interests are related to the study of science, technology and society issues. In this area of investigation, a specific attention he devoted to public engagement and public communication. His methodological skills are both qualitative and quantitative.
He leads the Italian research team of the European project CONCISE and PERSIST studying the public perception of science and technology. He is the president of Observa Science in Society and members of the Public Communication on Science and Technology network.
